ETH Hong Kong 2023

Speedpixel Ventures attended ETH Hong Kong 2023, the first large‑scale Ethereum community conference in Hong Kong, held at Cyberport from October 22 to 24, 2023. Co‑hosted by Scroll and Newman Capital, the event was designed as a developer‑centric forum featuring technical panels, boot camps, and hackathons focused on Ethereum infrastructure and Web3 innovation. The conference brought together developers, founders, and industry leaders with a strong focus on knowledge sharing, collaboration, and hands‑on innovation within the Web3 ecosystem.

From an investment perspective, we were particularly interested in discussions around Ethereum scaling, zkEVM development, emerging Web3 use cases, and the broader implications for application performance, security, and ecosystem scalability. The presence of over 50 industry speakers, including Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin, provided valuable insights into protocol‑level evolution and long‑term Web3 architecture trends.

The event reinforced Hong Kong’s ambition to position itself as a Web3 and digital asset gateway in the Asia‑Pacific region, supported by active community participation and growing institutional interest. We valued the opportunity to deepen our technical understanding and exchange ideas with builders shaping the next phase of blockchain infrastructure.
